Taking a Sick Day Update…and a Request!

Hey guys, I just wanted to take a moment and let you know that I tried to record today, but my voice started giving out and I thought it would be best to wait and re-record the episode later this week.

If you have any ideas for future episodes, or would like to be featured on the show yourself, let me know!  I’d love to discuss these options with you!  As always, you can reach us the following ways:

Episode 10 – Looking Back, Moving Forward

In the first episode of Get Some Grit in this new year, Bruce talks about his “leave of absence” from the show, his 2015 holiday season, and a new outlook for 2016. Lots of good stuff in this episode, if you’re OK with really honest and frank talk! Enjoy!

Updates Coming Soon!

Hey Get Some Grit fans!  Just wanted to take a second to try out some new audio equipment and get “back in the saddle” with a short update.  Bonus points if you know where the sweet early 80’s tune comes from!!!

Episode 9 – Yes or No?

In episode 009, Bruce takes a moment to look back on the “Yes” moments of his life that might easily have been “No” moments if fear had taken over his desire for something more. How often do the “No” answers you give come from a place of fear rather than reality?

Episode 8 – The Importance of Vulnerability

In episode 008, Bruce discusses the importance of vulnerability in our lives, the traits we have that get in the way of vulnerability, and why it’s so important to embrace vulnerability in all parts of our lives.

This episode is inspired and based on the TED Talk below, hosted by Dr. Brene Brown, author and research professor at the University of Houston. Check it out, and thanks for listening!

Episode 7 – Walk VS Talk

In Episode 007, Bruce discusses how a recent tragedy in a friend’s family has forced Bruce to yet again face some hard questions in life, namely the fear of working out, which has him caught in a place between the knowledge of needing time in the gym, and irrational fears surrounding possible harm from working out.

Also a short discussion of Hal Elrod’s “The Miracle Morning” book and how it has transformed most of Bruce’s mornings since reading it a month or so ago. You can find the book at Amazon.

Episode 6 – What’s Next? …and more!

Episode 6 is a bit of mashup, and a little diversion from the normal chatty format. I offer some insight into my thoughts on negativity vs pessimism and a request to listeners for help. Don’t worry…I’m not asking for money!!!

In Episode 5, I take a few minutes to discuss how an emotional heart problem we face in today’s hyper-connected world is blocking us from communicating effectively with each other – and how we can break the cycle!

Episode 000 – Why Grit?

Get Some Grit! Podcast episode 000 is identical in content to the first episode, but I’ve added music!  Another layer of “shine” on the product!!!

Do you enjoy the music choices?  I think they fit pretty well.
